The Characteristics of the United States and Trump's "America First" Imperialism.

What is our democracy, and at whose expense and freedom is there such a “democracy”?

Our democracy is based on U.S. Imperialism being transgressed around the world. It transforms Nation-States into puppets for the regime in the guise of helping U.S. allies. There are around 750 to 900 military bases in at least 80 countries and territories. - Politico - Aljazeera

These bases are located in countries that are in NATO some of which are Japan, South Korea, the Middle East, Germany, Australia, and many more. This is a strategic placement of bases geopolitically to be able to attack countries that the United States deems enemies at a moment’s notice. This is in part to secure United States monopolies and put pressure on the last existing Communist countries that exist. It is also to ensure that Capitalism wins and the United States is secured from any of these countries expanding socialist influence among other nations.

A note on here: Russia is not a socialist or a capitalist economic system since the Soviet Union dissolved under the revisionist Gorbachev’s directive, and those bases are also put close to Russia mainly due to Russia having, arguably, the most nukes, so much so that Russia holds the largest total inventory of nuclear weapons in the world with a total of 5,500 nukes, comparatively speaking, to the United States, which holds 5,000. - ICANW

The military chessboard is just one that the United States has been playing in regard to socialism spreading in the west.

Imperialism grows for political, military, and economic reasons as it imposes on other countries what should be done and how things should be run in foreign countries for the United States’ self-interest and the target countries’ “best interest.”

The comprador bourgeoisie that come into these countries help foreign investment and help the capitalists of these countries gain the capital to move to monopolize industry, fettering any sort of competition. Socialist movements are squashed through the help of the United States.

The Philippines is an example of this, as it’s had its longest conflict with the New People’s Army that is commanded by the Communist Party of the Philippines. Ferdinand Marcos was guided by the United States’ self-interests and established a dictatorship in the country, regressing the nation into fascism.

Most importantly, his son Bongbong Marcos now rules over the Philippines, spreading corruption, as he is responsible for the corruption of billions of pesos for the flood control projects. This included mismanagement of funds in ghost projects. This, to be exact, is 545 billion pesos, which is the equivalent of 9 billion dollars. Contracts were created for a small group of contractors that were favored by the regime of Bongbong. This has created public discontent among the people of the Philippines. - Cenpeg

Jose Maria Sison said:

“The chain of armed power in the Philippines leads to US imperialism... The Filipino people and their revolutionary forces are fighting against a puppet regime... to fight for national freedom.”

The thing about Imperialism is that it is capitalism in decay, as it is dying unless invigorated by a fascist movement in the country. It is antithetical to what the conservatives, liberals, and United States libertarians espoused of free markets and competition because it kills those characteristics.

We, as of the current writing, have felt U.S. Imperialism, yet we are beginning to feel Trump’s brute-force Imperialism in full throttle. We have attacked and kidnapped the President of Venezuela (Maduro) without regard to international law, in which international law does not matter to the U.S. but serves as a tool to the imperialists to use against their enemies if they dare break such International laws (rules for thee, not for me).

Globally we live in anarchy because while the United States has a strong hold over the nations of the world, there is no one world government that dictates law for everyone. Understanding this paints a clear picture of why certain countries like the U.S. and Israel can get away with doing what they are doing, i.e., Israel committing genocide against the Palestinian people.

I am not arguing for a one-world government, but it is objectively true that without centralization there is anarchy. Imperialism on sovereign nations not in alliance with NATO causes a tremendous amount of destabilization to these nations, cultures, religions, classes, and societies.

Trump has also used economic coercion, such as tariffs, on even its allies such as the UK, Germany, and Denmark for the territorial acquisition of Greenland. He enacted a 25 percent tariff on Canada and Mexico for the annexation of Canada. He has enacted energy blockades for Cuba and Iran by threatening to impose tariffs on countries that import oil to these two countries. We are even in a trade war with China. The list goes on for Trump’s America first Imperialism. This only has created problems for the people as tariffs get transferred to the consumers.

Democracy, in the sense of Imperialism, is therefore for the polarity or hegemony of the United States, and its mission is to cause favorable material conditions for the State itself to have the resources available for monopolies like banks, corporations, conglomerates, and the comprador bourgeoisie. War benefits these entities and classes for the betterment of hoarding wealth globally and creating family dynasties that will expand generation after generation, i.e., the capitalist class.

Trump’s Imperialism has started a war with Iran, one aspect being for Iran’s oil, admitted by none other than Trump over Maduro’s capture. He even admitted to the press that he was in direct contact with the oil monopolies to sell Venezuelian oil to them at a low cost.

There are other factors why we went to war with Iran, one being geopolitical. Having control of Iran as a puppet State and putting U.S. bases there would give us control of the Middle East and share that control with Israel.

Israel itself, as an Imperialist nation wants to create the Greater Israel, expanding over various Middle Eastern countries. Another factor is to stop Iran from having nuclear capabilities that would be a danger to Israel if such nukes were made, or at least Iran having nukes would deter Israel from attacking Iran.

The Imperialist weakness is nuclear weapons, as they cannot just attack you outright without risks of retaliation. Nuclear armament would secure Iran’s control of the Middle East, and that is what U.S. and Israeli Imperialism is trying to avoid.

Here we have a sovereign nation such as Iran that has been attacked at the behest of Israel. Many in the Iranian diaspora have met Trump’s action as positive, those that go into the streets with the Iranian Shah’s (King’s) monarch flag. The contradiction in Trump’s campaigning as a non-interventionist and his intervention in Venezuela and Iran is not surprising since, as a capitalist, he himself has used the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie to enrich himself and his family.

It is only dialectically sound that he would spread his own form of Imperialism onto the world. Fueled by self-interest as an individual, not as a nation, he is forming the basis for enlarging his wealth, so to say.

He has further threatened Cuba by making threats of taking it for himself. This is not strategic Imperialism but brute-force Imperialism at its core. He is aligned with the comprador bourgeoisie and accountable to them. As stated above, he has threatened to take Greenland and even make Canada a part of the United States through economic coercion.

These realizations of territorial expansion show similarities to Adolf Hitler and his attack that led to the expansion of the Nazi German nation. Historically, he has followed in the footsteps of Hitler with deporting undocumented immigrants that have largely been people that do not have a criminal record and even detaining U.S. citizens.

As my previous article over a year ago, in which I analyzed and predicted the actions he would take and the material conditions that would occur, showed, Trump is not just a capitalist or Imperialist but a fascist and has established a fascist regime to further expand the United States’ reach not just militarily or politically but also economically in order to enrich himself as much as he can.

The material conditions of not just the United States but most of the NATO countries have become detrimentally worse with the war in Iran. Gas prices have skyrocketed and continue to do so, as well as commodities like food. This has had a great impact not just on the masses but especially on the working class. Videos on the internet show countries like the Philippines having people rush toward the gas pumps as oil is running scarce. The boldness of Trump’s actions will have a lasting impact on most of the world economy.

Trump ran as someone who was supposedly different. A negotiator. A non-interventionist. Someone who wouldn’t get the U.S. dragged into more wars. A lot of people believed that. But looking at what’s actually happened, that image doesn’t hold up.

WIth more Imperialist aggression, there is more risk and, therefore, more consequences. He has been shown to be the biggest imperialist ever elected to office, putting Dick Cheney to shame.

Trump will be directly responsible for an enormous death count of citizens here and internationally. His negotiation is subpar; at the very least he is a war hawk and a fascist Imperialist at worst.

We must chart out our course in all this, leading to a way to change the system of the United States and rallying around the masses with the working class at the forefront of this movement. We must also unite, as there are a lot of Communist Parties that exist in the United States, and none have created any material change in our communities.

These Parties were formed due to disagreements on how the task of advancing the working class should be dealt with. As Lenin said in “What is to be done?” the era of theoretical arguments and amateurism must come to an end and be replaced with a professional, revolutionary, organized movement. It is time for the era of sectarianism and dogmatism to come to an end!
